Muslim Dior

This is hilarious. Bill Maher is great.

This bit of satire was aimed at KSA, but Bill should still read Abbas Hawazin's Categories of Syrian Hijab for a more realistic portrayal of Muslim women outside KSA wearing (and not wearing) hijab.

Shame on you mojo for making fun of peoples modest clothing and different cultures.
Not funny and offensive

hey mojo, you don't like the niqabs? well i don't like the FACT that every 2 minutes a woman is sexually abused in America.

Anonymous said...

mojo, i know that sexual abuse happens everywhere, but every 2 MINUTES...cmon man, wake up!
If someone should be made fun of , its not saudi women for wearing modest clothing.
Muslims are already attacked left and right, the new popular group to be discriminated against. Why are you helping spread this?

Ahhh, Anonymous is a Shia-hating Sunni. That explains his comments.

Shia have their own backward fundamentalist dipshits. It's true.

"Two suicide bombers struck in Iraq Sunday, killing at least 15 people and wounding more than 80 others, officials said.

Interior Ministry officials said a suicide bomber blew up a truck at an intersection near the compound of the Anbar provincial government in Ramadi, The New York Times reported.

At least 13 people were killed and more than 50 wounded.

Talib Hamad, a member of the provincial council, blamed the al-Qaida-linked Islamic State of Iraq, a Sunni extremist group.

In a village near Baquba, capital of Diyala province, a suicide bomber struck Shiites gathering for a religious pilgrimage. A sheik leading the procession and his son were killed, and eight others wounded.

As police rushed to the scene, a roadside bomb exploded. It wounded 24 more, including a local federal police commander and a member of the provincial council.

No group claimed responsibility for the attacks, the BBC said.

Authorities said a third suicide bombing was thwarted in Balad, north of Baghdad, when security forces shot and wounded the driver of a pickup loaded with explosives."

it doesnt make me anti-shia to laugh at those HILARIOUS shia parties where they hit themselves, its just a good laugh.

still waiting for you to post these vids on shias hitting themselves, its HILARIOUS!

Anon,

There has not been one confirmed incident involving a Shiite suicide bomber targeting civilians in Iraq. Granted, Hezbollah conducted the first-ever suicide attack in the Muslim world and the secular, non-Muslim Tamil Tigers invented the suicide vest and employed it enthusiastically against innocent people.

Iraqi Mojo said...

You're waiting for me to post those videos showing Shia hitting themselves? Is this your blog or mine?

The Hizballah suicide bomber killed US Marines in 1983, not 1982. It seems you're the one who should do your homework.

Have any Shia suicide bombers murdered civilians? Anything on the scale that the slimy Sunni extremists have done?

I must note, that when criticizing Iran I am specifically referring to the government...most Iranian men (at least the young people, who make up 70 percent of the country) reject the idiotic nonsense preached by Khamenei and his Mullahs.

Having never met anyone from KSA -- male or female -- I do not know what the prevailing views in that society are.

Iraqi Mojo said...

There have been at least 1,759 suicide bombings in Iraq since 2003. The vast majority of the suicide bombers were Sunni 3arab jarab of the backward Wahhabi variety. The vast majority of victims of those bombings were innocent Iraqis.

I've met a few cool Saudis, and I'm sure a large portion of KSA's population reject extremism and terrorism. But I don't know the numbers. Maury linked to a poll showing that a majority of Saudis admire Usama bin Ladin. Not good. I'd like to take a closer look at that poll.

mojo, still waiting for you to post some funny vids about the shias...

or is this a sunni hating blog only?

and "your people" have also killed iraqi women and children in the name of islam, Mojo...

and about the christians. have you ever heard of sabra and shatila? do i assume from sabra and shatila, plus the massacre of muslims by christians in lebanon that christians are evil?

dont assume or your an ass

Iraqi Mojo said...

So the number of suicide bombings by Shia resulting in Iraqi civilian deaths is what?

Anonymous said...

i just thought since you have made fun of sunni's in the video, i thought you would also be less of a hypocrite and make fun of your own kind, the Shiites, too.

its only fair that you post shia rave parties where they beat themselves silly. Now thats funny!

the number of shia militias resulting in Iraqi civilian deaths is what?

Iraqi Mojo said...

'and "your people" have also killed iraqi women and children in the name of islam, Mojo...'

Please provide an example, anonymous Sunni.

I never said Sunnis are evil. Sunni extremists who kill innocent Iraqis are evil. Did you hear of the recent suicide bombings in Iraq? Have the Shia militias committed such crimes recently?

Anonymous said...

mojo, they say approximately 100,000 sunnis were killed by shia militia

also, they say that approx 150,000 civilians killed by sunni militias.

so dont go preaching that shias are angels and sunnis are devils. if anything, they are both guilty

Iraqi Mojo said...

Anonymous Sunni, the video making fun of Shia is old and not that funny. The Shiite cleric shown hitting himself was lamenting the mass murder of Iraqi Shia by Saddam the mass murderer of Iraqis.

This satire by Bill Maher is NEW and it's very FUNNY.

Iraqi Mojo said...

They have both been guilty, but your peeps continue to mass murder innocent Iraqis, anonymous Sunni. Shia militias stopped their murderous rampages long ago.

Where did you get those numbers?

Iraqi Mojo said...

I have to get on a plane. Have a good day.

wikipedia...who knows how accurate they are, but it gives u an idea

"they have to stop killing each other."

Sunni and Shia Arabs do not "kill each other"

I'm so glad western media have been reporting the truth. If we had to rely on Arab media, we wouldn't know that Sunni extremists continue to murder Shia.

☼ I have shown you that approx equal amounts of innocent sunni's were killed as innocent shias were, if not more. ◄

Yes, and another 2 things need to be pointed out:

1) Shia death squads sometimes function under the umbrella of the "state," i.e. the traitor army and traitor police apparatus.
So these apologists wind up NOT COUNTING them as killers
(because they are supposed to be the official government). In reality though, they should be counted as death squads.

2) The Shia started the sectarian fight.
It is not merely about tallying the dead, it matters a great deal who started it.

Sometimes, these pro-war people have an emblem on their blogs: "I'm a fan of DISPROPORTIONATE RESPONSE!"
So, I think we should take their advice and apply disproportionate response to their buddiez.

1980-1988: Saddam's Sunni-led regime expel, imprison, and murder tens of thousands of Iraqi Shia.

1991: After plunging Iraq into another senseless war, this time with most of the world, the Iraqi Shia decided it was time for Saddam to go and Shia rebels tried to overthrow the tyrant and his rapist sons. Saddam and his Tikriti mafiosi responded by murdering 300,000 Iraqi Shia.

See Saddam's Killing Fields to learn more about how Saddam's Sunni-led regime persecuted Iraqi Shia.

Iraqi Mojo said...

The murders of Iraqi Shia continued in the 1990s.

"A woman known as Um Haydar was beheaded reportedly without charge or trial at the end of December 2000. She was 25 years' old and married with three children. Her husband was sought by the security authorities reportedly because of his involvement in Islamist armed activities against the state. He managed to flee the country. Men belonging to Feda'iyye Saddam came to the house in al-Karrada district and found his wife, children and his mother. Um Haydar was taken to the street and two men held her by the arms and a third pulled her head from behind and beheaded her in front of the residents. The beheading was also witnessed by members of the Ba'ath Party in the area. The security men took the body and the head in a plastic bag, and took away the children and the mother-in-law. The body of Um Haydar was later buried in al-Najaf. The fate of the children and the mother-in-law remains unknown."

In 2003, after the USA belatedly overthrew Saddam's Sunni-led regime, Sunni extremists began waging a campaign of bombings against the Iraqi Shia.

August 29, 2003: "A massive car bomb that claimed the lives of one of Shiite Islam's top clerics and 124 others Friday was the deadliest attack in Iraq since the regime of Saddam Hussein fell and the third in a string of terrorist attacks this month."

There were 25 suicide bombings in Iraq in 2003, a few targeting Shia.

In 2004 there were 140 suicide bombings, many targeting Shia, Kurds, Iraqi Security Forces and police & Army recruits.

In the history of Israel, no more than 100 suicide bombings were carried out by Palestinian militants.

In 2005, which was marked by the first elections since the fall of the Sunni tyrant, there were 478 suicide bombings, many targeting Shia, killing innocent men, women, and children.

Iraqi Mojo said...

In 2005, Shia militias started arresting and killing innocent Sunni Arab men.

"The bombing of markeplaces, police stations, mosques, and open-air religious gatherings meanwhile occurred almost daily, generating a tale of sorrow and rage that would tear Shias and Sunnis apart. On August 31, 2005, about a million Shia pilgrims gathered at the shrine of Kazemiya in Baghdad to mark the anniversary of the death of the seventh imam, who is buried there. The crowd stretched from the mosque across the River Tigris to Sadr City, clogging the bridge over the river. A mortar attack on the crowd early in the day killed sixteen and injured many more. The crowd was on edge when some person or persons on the bridge spread a rumor – Shias believe deliberately – that there was a suicide bomber in their midst. Anxious and fearful, the crowd panicked. In the ensuing stampede, more than a thousand people died; some were trampled to death, while others drowned after jumping into the river. Most of the victims were women and children. The incident showed the extent to which the insurgency could disrupt Shias' lives and turn their commemoration of the death of their imams into a new occasion for mourning. It also underscored the inability of the Iraqi government to contend with the violence, and even more the extent to which the insurgency had succeeded in instilling fear in Shias' hearts and minds.

Urged by Sistani and his clerical network not to respond in kind, Shias showed tremendous restraint. Their patience was taxed, but their sense of distinct identity only grew under the onslaught of Sunni terror (a good deal of which was the work of non-Iraqis, such as the terror group run by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian Salafi who masterminded the insurgency's most violent excesses). Attitudes on the street hardened, as did Shias' determination to stay in charge of their own destiny. Even where relations between Shia and Sunni neighbors remained friendly, distrust of Ba'thists and the Wahhabi influence on Sunni clerics intensified.

This became clear when a bombing attack on the Shia Askariya shrine (where the tenth and eleventh imams are buried, and wherefrom the Twelfth Imam went into hiding) brought sectarian conflict into the open. Hundreds died as angry Shias and Sunnis attacked mosques, killed clerics, and abducted and murdered civilians. Despite calls for calm the violence continued to rage, exposing the deep sectarian fissures that were shaping Shia identity and politics."

Today:

"An Iraqi suicide bomber killed four people and wounded 17 in an attack north of Baghdad Monday, Iraq's Interior Ministry said.

Maj. Ghaleb al-Atiya, a Diyala provincial police spokesman, said the killer targeted a group of Shiites in the town of Balad Ruz who were preparing to observe Ashura commemorating the seventh-century martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Islam's Prophet Mohammed.

CNN reported Monday this time is historically a violent one filled with attacks by suicide bombers targeting Shiites."
