This back and forth war across Libya reminds me of the North Africa campaign in WW II that the British fought across the same area first with the Italians and then with the Germans and the Italians from the fall of 1940 to early 1943. That struggle also swung back and forth from western Egypt to Tripoli several times before the British finally won. Hope this war does not last anywhere that long.

The Libyan rebels may be losing ground on the battlefield, but politically they have won another victory with the defection of Qaddafi's foreign minister to Britain. Link to "Top Libyan Minister defects to the U.K." at http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/03/30/501364/main20048940.shtml?tag=stack
