It started over a Muslim-Christian love affair!
"Muslim-Christian clashes in the Egyptian capital Cairo have killed 11 people and wounded more than 90, security and hospital officials said on Wednesday.
The clashes broke out Tuesday night when a Muslim mob attacked thousands of Christians protesting against the burning of a Cairo church last week. Muslims torched the church amid an escalation of tensions between the two religious groups over a love affair between a Muslim and a Christian that set off a violent feud between the couple's families.
The officials said Wednesday that the killed were six Christians and five Muslims, all died from gunshot wounds. They said 94 people were wounded - 73 Muslims and 21 Christians."

BENGHAZI, Libya — Libyans battling Moammar Gadhafi are losing patience with the United States and its allies, saying they are missing a key opportunity to topple a dictator and win the gratitude of a new democracy in the Middle East.

What these guys don't understand, is that when Obama does take a clear position on something, like Guantanomo, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll actually DO anything. And he hasn't taken a clear position on helping Libyans yet. He's just siting in the Rose Garden, staring at a table full of options....LOL.
Most Muslim-Christian marriages do not cause a stir. It's just when one or both families strongly disapprove, to the point of being violent. It's very sad.
Muslims and Christians in the ME marry each other a lot more than people think. If the bride is Christian, usually she will "convert" to make the Muslim family happy. If the Muslim converts, sometimes there is trouble. And sometimes there is trouble no matter what.
Religion is for cuckoos. It is so silly.
"The rise of Islamic Nationalism has rendered moot the danger of radicalized Christian Arabs"
Moot? Totally irrelevant? I don't think so, especially when you look at history. Sirhan Sirhan was one of the most radicalized Arab Americans ever, and most Americans don't know he's Christian. That might remind them there are Christians among the Palestinians, and they too were pissed off.
Even these days Americans ignore the fact, or maybe don't even know about the many Palestinian nationalists, militants, (whatever you want to call them), who were Christian. Take George Habash, for example. A Palestinian Christian who fought for the liberation of Palestine and supported Saddam.
Take Arab Advocate, the blogger who left many comments on my blog in support of Saddam and the great "Arab nation" and the "resistance" that fought in Iraq. I think he's Christian, living in Texas. Will he be investigated? I doubt it.
