Actually, the Torah, or Five Books of Moses, probably predates the exile to Babylon--although I would not rule out some divinely-directed editing there.

However, the Talmud--th vast corpus of traditional Jewish jurisprudence--was indeed compiled in Iraq, which is why it is called the Talmud Babli (Babylonian Talmud).

What do you guys think of the disappearance of Iraq's Jews back in the 1940's and '50's, and the current draining of its Christian and Mandaean minorities?

We assess that the plight of the Nasaaraa in Eyerak is a drop in the ocean compared to the murder & pillaging done by the 'Ibaad us-Saleeb [Slaves of da Cross]

Kepha, I've discussed Iraqi Jews a few times on my blog, and if you google Iraqi Jews + Iraqi Mojo you'll see some of my posts mentioning Iraqi Jews.

I've mentioned Iraqi Christians a lot more on the blog. You can read the posts with the label "Christian" here.
