Bombing kills dozens at Baghdad funeral

We haven't seen a funeral bombing in a while. An example of religious & political rhetoric gone Wahhabi. It is how they protest.

"At least 39 people were killed Thursday when a car bomb exploded next to a funeral tent in a Shiite Muslim neighborhood of Baghdad, police said, as a wave of fresh violence continued in Iraq.

The explosion was Iraq's fifth major attack in the last 10 days, leaving a death toll of nearly 200 people. The relentless pace of bombings was something the country has not seen in more than two years."

AP says 48 were killed: "A car bomb ripped through a funeral tent in a mainly Shiite area of Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 48 people and triggering skirmishes between Iraqi troops and demonstrators angry about security failures."

Who would voluntarily work for the US consulate in Pakistan? I wouldn't do it for all the money in the world.

LAHORE, Pakistan – A U.S. consular employee shot and killed two gunmen as they approached his vehicle in a congested street in Pakistan on Thursday, police said.

Lahore police chief Aslam Tareen said the American was being questioned by the police and may be charged with both murder and illegally carrying a weapon: a Beretta pistol. The American shot both men after they pointed guns at him at an intersection, Tareen said.

A few dozen people protested outside the police station where the American was being held. They burnt tires and one of them held up a sign saying "American dog."

Apparently, a GOOD American is supposed to politely expose his throat and let them run a knife across it.
