Qaddafi uses warplanes and helicopters

This is starting to look more like what Saddam did in 1991.

"The faltering government of the Libyan strongman Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi struck back at mounting protests against his 40-year rule, as helicopters and warplanes besieged parts of the capital Monday, according to witnesses and news reports from Tripoli."

I don't think even the Saudis would have him. I think you're right, Maury. He's toast!

Iranians are throwing caution to the wind too. They're beating up the thugs that were sent out to beat them down. The shit is hitting the fan all over the Middle East. Who would've thought all these tyrants could fall so fast?

VALLETTA (Reuters) – Two Libyan Air Force fighter pilots defected on Monday and flew their jets to Malta where they told authorities they had been ordered to bomb protesters, Maltese government officials said.

I'd like to see Obama declare a no fly zone over Libyan cities. A single aircraft carrier could enforce it. To hell with the legalitities. He needs to put some action behind those condemnations.

If the Colonel is toast, who will get all his dresses?

Google is now providing a map fed entirely by tweets, almost worthy of CENTCOM.

The turmoil in Libya has greatly affected oil prices (surging to no end), and stocks (depreciating greatly)... May peace and democracy reign in this region for everybody's sake.
