Al Jazeera's positive role in uprisings

Al Jazeera's web traffic has tripled in the last month. That's impressive. Al Jazeera has played a huge role in the uprisings. But these guys on the Dylan Ratigan show don't talk about the differences between Al Jazeera Arabic's coverage of Bahrain and their coverage of Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt.

GENEVA – The U.S. began moving naval and air forces closer to Libya and declared on Monday that all options were open, including the use of warplanes to patrol the country's skies, to protect Libyans threatened by an increasingly isolated and defiant Moammar Gadhafi. The U.S. and Europe were freezing billions in Libya's foreign assets.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the United States was exploring the idea of a no-fly zone to prevent Gadhafi's government from bombing its citizens, and European leaders were discussing that as well.

Al Jazeera covered up the Laura Logan Rape in Egypt by 200 men cheering 'Jew, Jew'.

She really had it coming though, excuse the pun. Logan is a pro-war reporter that used to chat it up with coalition scumbags in Afghanistan.

Dolly, thanks for reminding us how sick and demented you are. May an American hellfire missile find its way to your home? Praise Allah.

Mojo,

I would add that Al Jazeera Arabic is keeping quiet about Oman. Like Bahrain, Oman is a little too close to home for Qatar, and like Qatar it plays both sides of the present Middle Eastern Cold War.

You also won't hear that many Qataris are planning an upcoming day of rage against the Emir of Qatar on 16th March.
