There's nothing wrong with protest aiming to peacefully topple the government or peacefully ask for change in my book - as long as they aren't aiming to demolish democracy itself. That's what people in democracies do on a regular basis.
Yep. Peaceful protests are a good sign in a functioning democracy. You know it's a democracy if police are providing security, instead of bashing heads.
