Operation New Dawn starts Sept. 1

'The U.S. military mission in Iraq will soon be getting a name change.

As of Sept. 1, "Operation Iraqi Freedom" becomes "Operation New Dawn."

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said in a memo Wednesday that the name change—which is to immediately follow the scheduled withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq—will send a strong signal that American forces have a new mission. He also said it reinforces the U.S. commitment to honor its security agreement with Iraq and recognizes "our evolving relationship" with the government there.'

"we're not gonna go home"

We can't all be blessed with the racial, ethnic, and religious solidarity South Africa enjoys Bruno. Sectarian friction goes back centuries in Iraq. The difference today is it isn't swept under the rug. Those demons have to be confronted eventually. Have you heard of Mandela or Desmond Tutu by any chance?

Bruno;

I think if we're going to stay, Iraq should be promptly informed that our services must be paid for.

We can't afford to continue nation building anymore. We have financial problems at home.

Just as a reminder. I am still glowing with pride that it was a Jordanian who killed 7 CIA terrorists and a Hashemite traitor in Afghanistan. An excellent attack. God knows how many innocent lives were saved by eliminiating those blood thirsty terrorists.

BAGDHAD - An al-Qaida front group in Iraq claimed Wednesday it carried out the deadly bombings against Baghdad hotels earlier this week, boasting how its suicide bombers could breach the extensive Iraqi security, and that even deadlier attacks were to come.

The same group, the Islamic State of Iraq, has claimed responsibility for three previous waves of coordinated bombings in Baghdad going back to August. The attacks have hit government offices or high-profile sites in the Iraqi capital.

In a statement posted Wednesday on a militant Web site, the al-Qaida group claimed responsibility for the triple suicide blasts on Monday that targeted three hotels favored by Western journalists and security contractors. At least 41 people were killed.

January 12, 2010: "In a later statement, security forces said they had detained 25 people and confiscated 440 pounds of TNT, 440 pounds of C4 explosives, more than 65 gallons of ammonium nitrate and 60 mortar rounds.

There may well have been such a plot: Parliamentarians were told by the authorities that the Iraqis had received a tipoff from the U.S. military that around six booby-trapped cars had arrived in Baghdad from the Syrian border area, and were to be used to target sites such as government ministries, Kurdish lawmaker Mahmoud Othman said."

If the puppet police really confiscated the supplies of the resistance, that would just be terrible, terrible news. Hopefully they will replenish very soon. The US army is a terrorist army. The American army are a bunch of killers. Bush, Blair, and Obama are war criminals. The puppet government would not last 48 hours without the US occupation army. The resistance is moral. The occupation is immoral. The resistance is defending Iraq. The Americans are the murderers of the Iraqis. The traitors are a small small group who will all leave Iraq with the occupation or be killed. Stupid is an American kid in California who has nothing to do with the whole thing to begin with.

On the entire continent of Europe, which is 42 different countries, there is no death penalty.

The only exception is the savage country of Belarus, which is called "the last dictatorship" in Europe.

If Iraq employs the death penalty with glee, and uses the most highly barbaric methods of killing, that likens them to Belarus, and not to EU.
Which is more evidence that the "democratic" project in Iraq is a joke, as if more evidence was needed.

Still relying on MEMRI:

'Honor Killings' of Women in Palestinian Society

By: C. Jacob*

Introduction

Although Palestinian society is known for its progressiveness, honor killings of women have not been eliminated. This paper will describe the problem and review the public discussion about it.

The precise statistics on honor killings of women in Palestinian society are not known, because not all incidents are reported to the authorities. According to Lamiya Shalalda, representative of the Forum of Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations, 11 women died in 2009 in honor killings in the West Bank and Gaza. However, according to the Independent Authority for Human Rights, that number was 13.[1]

Jurists such as Zayyad Thabet, president of a Gaza court, said that since Hamas took charge of the Gaza judiciary system after its June 2007 coup, many cases of honor killing have never even made it to the courts.[2]

Some Cases of Honor Killing of Women

The following are excerpts from press reports on honor killings in the West Bank and Gaza, published in the Palestinian press.

"Najla A., a 24-year-old divorcee, was strangled by her brother, who was known for his religious fanaticism, when she was staying at his home...[3] Najla worked as a clerk at a Gaza business, and [due to her work] was absent from the home for many hours; this gave rise to many stories about her. Her brother, whose nickname was 'The Sheikh,' could not bear it. Once the murder was discovered, the police arrested him for questioning. Family talks were then held, during which it was whispered in the ear of a senior police official that the matter concerned the family only, and that the woman had needed to be taught a lesson. Later, that police official received a gift – one of [Najla's] brothers, a construction worker, laid 13 meters of flooring for him. The result was that [the killer] was released from prison without anyone batting an eyelid, and without any reaction from those who knew how badly Najla needed the work so that she could buy medicines for her sick mother."[4]

Stupid do you ever reach the point where you have sufficiently parroted all the anti-Arab, anti-Muslim propaganda? Or do you have to keep vomiting the bullshit over and over? When does it end? Does it end? And if it does not end are you going to spend all your life trying to fit in? If so, then you will never fit in. And if you will never fit in why keep trying? It seems to me if this does not have an end point you are fighting a losing, futile battle. You have lost your self-respect but you have not gained anything in return. Think about it stupid.

Aton said...

I see Habis, the truth is "anti-Arab, anti-Muslim propaganda"
