Iraqi people keeping democracy alive

"To say that mere voting or an election or two makes Iraq a success story would obviously be mistaken. An election does not a democracy make — and Iraq’s politicians still have yet to prove that they are up to governing, nation-building and both establishing and abiding by the rule of law. But this election is a big deal because Iraqis — with the help of the U.N., the U.S. military and the Obama team, particularly Vice President Joe Biden — overcame two huge obstacles.

They overcame an array of sectarian disputes that repeatedly threatened to derail this election. And they came out to vote — Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds — despite the bombs set off by Al Qaeda and the dead-end Baathists who desperately want to keep the democracy project in Iraq from succeeding. This latter point is particularly crucial. The only way Al Qaeda, Baathism and violent Islamism will truly be defeated is when Arabs and Muslims themselves — not us — show they are willing to fight and die for a more democratic, tolerant and progressive future. Al Qaeda desperately wanted the U.S. project in Iraq to fail, but the Iraqi people just keep on keeping it alive." --Thomas Friedman

Thomas Friedman should eat his own spunk. What he means is "when Arabs become Americans, then we'll be happy".

These idiots don't support true democracy. they support a democracy that supports America.

Iraqi Mojo said...

So a true democracy is one that does not support America?

Jaafari is already making nice with Maliki. Unfortunately, the INA probably only garnered 25 or 30 seats. Muqwaq probably got 10 or so of those. He won't support Maliki. Maliki can't make this happen without getting the Kurds on board again. They butted heads for the last 4 years,so the odds of that hapening aren't good. If Allawi snags the Kurds,he only needs 20 or 30 more seats to form a majority. Question is,is he willing to jettison Kirkuk to make it happen? That wouldn't go over well with the Sunni's in his party.

I consider this article from Friedman too secterian.

Yes, I wrote earlier that the American definition of democracy is: "Somebody subservient to us."

And Iraqi collaborators are stupid enough to give them what they want

When I look at Iraqi deaths (from insurgency), it is a mixture of amusement and amazement.
The fact they died for America shows how stupid they are. And the fact that they *volunteered* to die for America shows how amazingly stupid they are

The worst thing is that you insist on insulting everyone's intelligence.
No matter how many times you say that Karzai is a sovereign leader,
or that U.S. aid to Napakistan is not in exchange for them being your hunting dogs,
or that there is no double standard for Israel,
normal people are not swayed by that kind of repetition.

I really would prefer if your evil deeds were not followed and compounded by your ridiculous rationalizations.

What's clearly at play is that the U.S. armed Iraqi collaborators to kill their own people.

Which is a despicable act on the part of the Iraqis,
regardless of what kind of hatred they had internally.

Any pussy here want to meet an arabjarab in person? Aton got hot and bothered last week and asked to meet me, "tough guy", and then when I agreed he backed out like the pussy he is. Im not surprised he has not shown his face here. I wouldnt either.

Stupid is scared and even admitted he is scared.

Anyone here with a set of balls 1/100th the size of Saddams balls? Anyone here want to meet an arabjarab in person?

Or as I suspect, you would rather hide behind your screens and type 'arabjarab...arabjarab...arabjarab...'

This is Habis. I am an ArabJarab. Will you come out of hiding?

Iraqi Mojo said...

So what brought the 3arab jarab to America?

Iraqi Mojo said...

"Anyone here with a set of balls 1/100th the size of Saddams balls?"

you mean anyone here who can mass murder Iraqis and call it good for the Arab nation? That does take balls.

Mithak al Alusi, one of the many good Sunni Arabs of Iraq, visited Israel. What did the 3arab jarab do? They killed his sons! That's what the 3arab jarab do best. They kill Iraqi youth.

I expect the resistance to continue to kill Iraqis and I expect the 3arab jarab in LA to continue to blame the killings on America.

Mithal I mean

I don't understand this JihadJane character. She's not a Muslim. If she just wanted to kill someone, why didn't she hook up with Buddhists or Mormons? I'm sure they could've used a petite blond who would be able to blend into Swedish society. Jehovah Witnesses can be deadly as well. They like to do home invasions when you least expect them. Why do people like JihadJane and Dolly gravitate to Islam? They obviously don't have a religeous bone in their body. Maybe it's the opportunity to cover their face and bodies?

Come to New Orleans and I'll be glad to meet with you arabjarab. We can go fishing if you like. I can even show you some alligators. Most tourists pay to take those tours, but you'll get it for free. Because your special.

I'm arabjarab and I like the wawa. Saddam had the biggest balls ever and he always gave me the wawa. I’m a bootlicking arabjarab who had the privilege of combing Saddam Hussein’s mustache. He was a great man and I loved him when he gave me the wawa.

Here's a post by Walter Russell Mead on the connections of Arab Christians to the founding of the Ba'ath. I had not known that Michel Aflaq was an ethnic Christian. It also gives American & European missionaries a role in the founding of Arab Nationalism. AND it addresses the role of American *gentile* opinion and defacto American domestic policies in the founding the state of Israel.

Mead might be overstating the case when he calls Israel America's "baby", but we were definitely a major contributor when they threw the baby shower. He also implies that Arab Nationalism was an idea imported from the American Ivy League. I'm positive that's a cartoonish portayal.

Imad Mughniyeh and Zarqawi have been hanging out with me a lot and I like them better than you...the three of us are going to plot the end of mankind together, without you.

Yes Millions of poor and desperate workers from Latin America and other places do try to come here for work. And how do the Americans treat them? Just because there is a big economy here and people are so poor and desperate they leave their homelands looking for work does not make this a "great country" It only means there are alot of poor people who have it so bad they need to come here and be exploited by rich white CEOs. It is part of the injustice in this world. Fuck off!

Assshole I did not think you would show yourself here again after you challenged me and then ran off like a coward when I accepted to meet you.

I told you motherfuckers once before I was born here, went back to Jordan as a 10 year old, and then came back at 22 to complete my studies which was right after I was protesting in support of Saddam Hussein in the attack on Iraq in 1991.

Yes I am legal and I still cheer for the Iraqi resistance. I will tell you more. I love it when an American soldier comes back in a body bag. I enjoy it every time an American pig is killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I am not loyal. I do not pledge allegiance. And I am proud to stand in support of anyone who fights the evil empire.

Learn to live with it asshole. And if it makes you angry maybe you will come out from hiding and meet me in person. You claimed you wanted to do hoping I would not accept, but when I did you changed your mind. Remember? What a pussy. Maybe you are now mad enough to change your mind. I hope so, but I doubt it. Pussy.

I think Habis was "educated" in his native Amman, the land of Ba3thi and Sunni 3arab jarab, the country that he is proud of and loves. Habis came to America after America bombed the Shiite out of Iraq in 1991. He has said before that he was in Jordan in January 1991 cheering for Saddam, the mass murderer of Iraqis. It makes me wonder why he left Jordan and came to America. What brought the 3arab jarab to America, Habis el Urduni?

So the ways of the Jordanian jarab were instilled in you as a teenager. I see. Why did you come back to America, the country that bombed your beloved Saddam?

Aton listen asshole. I do not play games. If you are serious about meeting we will meet somewhere. I think I already told you anywhere within a 50 mile radius of Long Beach is fine with me. You will not get my address or my last name. You should feel lucky that you know my real name. I will meet anywhere you want and I will wear a red and white Jordanian Kuffiyeh on my shoulders so you can spot me from far away before I ever see you. You will know me before I know you. This will give you an advantage. And after you see me if you got the balls to walk up to me I will wipe the floor with you and that is a promise.

Please do not bullshit. Please accept this offer. I really want to meet you or anyone else from this blog in person. I am dead serious and I hope you are too. I am excited now. Please do not dissapoint me. Any weekday evening is fine and anytime Saturday and Sunday.

I completed my engineering degree in a Jordanian University and when I came back to the US for my graduate work and got my MS in Computer Science I paid for it. USC is a private school and it was expensive, but I paid for all of it with no help from any of you motherfuckers.

Now cut the bullshit. When and where?

This Arab will definitely drive 50 miles to slap you or anyone else on this blog like a bitch. Stupid and Aton are too scared. They prefer to shout arabjarab from behind a screen. Would you like to show up?

Is anyone here able to stand up to an arabjarab?
