Will Qadhafi pull a Saddam?

'Like Saddam, Gadhafi is thought to have access to millions of dollars stashed away over the years. He has loyalists who benefited from his long rule and who, like the Iraqi leader's Baathist followers, believe they have nothing to gain and everything to fear from a new Libyan government.

"What we've learned is that finding one individual particularly in a tribal area is tough, despite all of technology we have, with our ability to collect intelligence sources together," said retired Lt. Col. John Nagl, who served in Iraq's al-Anbar province in 2003.

"The good news is Libya has a long coast line and the population is clustered close to the shore," said Nagl, who now heads the Washington-based Center for a New American Security. "The bad news is we have few, if any, Americans on the ground, and this is a society we don't understand very well." '

Yup, I have a feeling he will. I hope not for the Libyans, but the likes of Gaddafi and Saddam think my way or no way. Gaddafi still has supporters and will probably give the Libyans a difficult time bringing stability to their country, as the Saddamists did in ours.

There is absolutely no similarity between Iraq and Libya. Libya is not under occupation and therefore the Council is not collaborating with the occupier

That was me in Jan 2010.

Why are there no bombings in Qatar, where the royal 3arab jarab have hosted cross-worshiping occupiers since 1991?

"Libya is not under occupation "

NATO has been bombing away for months, how are Libyan rebels not collaborating with NATO?

Because the international community is only reacting to Mad Dog's slaughter, so the cause is upright in Libya.

He would have flattened Banghazi by now and killed 100,000 without this help from the likes of Sarkozy and King of Jordan

Muhannad, there are no bombings in Gatar because the presence is benign without raids being done against the population of Gatar

"flattened Banghazi by now "

That is a rationalization for the collaboration, and a poor one at that. Much more likely the Libyans are responsible for that Airbus out of Brazil that fell out of the sky because of an "air speed sensor" failure, than the French care about Bangahazi. Who would believe that?

This might be the dumbest comment Dolly has ever posted.

I wonder what Dolly was thinking back in 1991, when Saddam was burning down Karbala and killing more people in a couple weeks than Qaddafi killed in 42 years.
