Salam Fayyad: Stop using Palestinian cause to justify murder

'Extremists must stop using the Palestinian cause to justify their acts of violence, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said on Wednesday after a deadly attack on a French Jewish school.

"It is time for these criminals to stop marketing their terrorist acts in the name of Palestine and to stop pretending to stand up for the rights of Palestinian children who only ask for a decent life," the Palestinian premier said in a statement.'

I like Salam Fayyad.

Thanks for the link, Mojo. It is good to hear that at least some in the Palestinian leadership have come to realize how self-defeating acts of terror against Jewish civilians, especially children are.

Fayyad is a good diplomat - better than Ashton, anyway. However, what I'd really like to hear is what he says in arabic when there are no western ears around.

I know this must sound paranoic, but I can't trust anybody in the palestinian leadership. Check this out, for instance:

I'm not sure if Fayyad himself is a better man, or just a better diplomat. Many people here like him too. I'd rather not rush into conclusions.

Hey, if Allah commands them to murder toddlers, what's a wannabe jihadi to do? An American teacher was murdered today in Yemen. Supposedly for proseletyzing. His co-workers say he encouraged people to stick to their faith. I doubt Allah's wingnuts give a damn. They think anyone who isn't Wahhabi deserves to die.

maybe the person responsible for what happened in France also had some stress and mental issues like the soldier in Afghanistan.

"Hey, if Allah commands them to murder toddlers, what's a wannabe jihadi to do?" - Maury

Hey Maury, I challenge you to tell me where the Quran says to go out and murder innocent people. But, i advise you, be wise, quote in context, and we will have an intellectual discourse. Otherwise, before you click the "publish comment" button, think first and verify what you say.

Anonymous, do the Takfiri care about the holy Quran? Are the Takfiri authentic muslims or do they blaspheme the Islamic faith?

Maury was referring to Takfiri who believe anyone who isn't extremist Wahhabi or extremist Salafi [normal Sunni, Sufi, Shiite, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Ahmedi, Bahai, Zorastrian, Atheist, Agnostic, Sikh] deserves to die.

"maybe the person responsible for what happened in France also had some stress and mental issues like the soldier in Afghanistan." And trees come from Venus. Yeah right.

There has only been one incident like Panjew Kandahar in the US Army since 1972, to my knowledge. Stress isn't a justification for what the US army soldier did either.

Maury, how is your health? Been worried about you.

Maury, do you have anything to say? I gave you the opportunity to actually have an intellectual debate with me, instead you just dodge the question

Wahhabism really is the only good religion. All this other stuff like Christianity is a joke.

Wahhabis have the correct Creed, such as their claim that Allah has literal 2 hands, literal 2 eyes, etc.

What an awesome Creed!! There is a hadith that goes even further and portrays Allah as a young dude with much wealth. That one may be inauthentic, but I like the portrayal.

Can Hinduism and Christianity come close to this? The answer is no.

Maybe Atheism is another worldview I can respect, but only if they have a good life philosophy, and not a nihilist one.
For example Ray Kurzweil solves the problem of death through science. That is worthy of respect!

I didn't dodge anything Anonymous. I've had the same position on this since the blog started. Al Qaida is a motley crew of sociopaths. They hire clerics to say whatever it is they want the Quran to say.

Who am I to weigh in on the Quran? I have enough trouble understanding my own book of faith.

Thanks for asking Anand. I'm doing as well as can be expected. It's spread to the other side of my chest, as well as the brain. I'm getting brain radiation currently.

Dolly, I haven't officially cheated death until May 5th. That's when the oncologyst gave me 2-12 months. He did say it would be closer to 2 though.....LOL. I got rid of him when he said there was nothing else he could do for me, except palliative care. This new guy seems to know his stuff. Who knows, I might still be bugging you this time next year.

Hopefully you will, Maury! Have you tried high doses of vitamin C?

No Mojo, but the wife has become a smoothie artist. She adds a weight gain protein used by athletes. I've lost 50 lbs. somehow. Still not as skinny as my 18 yr. old son though,LOL.

Brother-in-law sent me some Reishi herbal tablets. They're actually approved in Japan as a cancer treatment. There's no way to tell if they're helping, but they certainly can't hurt. I'm about to order some Chia Seeds. It looks like a miracle food. Full of omega-3's, antioxidants, protein, and vitamans. I know it doesn't have anti-cancer properties, but it should help ensure I get all those nutritional needs.

There is a passage in the Qur'an that says "kill the infidels wherever you find them." When I was a teenager I asked my dad about this passage. He said it applies only to atheists, to people who don't believe in God. It does not apply to Christians and Jews. This is corroborated by the passage that instructs Muslims to respect Jews and Christians.

Obviously the Al Qaeda types have misunderstood (or don't even know) these passages in the Qur'an.

Well that blows, my dad also died of cancer. But according to my theory, the deceased person simply wakes up in a hospital in the future. So that is some good news for Maury. Expect it to be around maybe year 2100 when you wake up
