Barack Obama is not a Marxist!

If Obama is a Marxist, then Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and Dwight Eisenhower were even more Marxist than Obama!

You think Marxist believe there own crap. You don't know that they want communism for you, but elitism for them? You think they all live in communes eating flowers sitting at a loom weaving textiles? Hahaha.
You really must have had a sheltered life Mojo.

Re: all those corporations that helped Obama get elected.....er every heard of the term "limousine liberal"?
Iraqimojo ,you seem to be thoroughly ignorant of domestic U.S politics.
Another thing I love about Obama supporters is when they say that his campaign was an organic ,grass roots effort due to his Messianic personality and that he is not beholden to corporations unlike those EEEVVVVILLL HalliburtonExxonWalmart Republicans!
But when you accuse him of being a Marxist....they panic and start parading the corporations who supported him like IraqiMojo has done..I can hear their desperation .."you see this man Obama is just like another politican-he is not a Marxist-he is just bourgeois middle class scum like all you average Americans!"

Oh and btw Reagan raised taxes on the rich when he was governer of California,a very liberal state which implied a compromise on his part.He didnt do it when he was President.
Also Republicans dont look to Eisenhower and Nixion for their pro free market vision.
It is quite possible to be Republican and have "progressive" semi socialist economics i.e the Trojan horses Herbert Hoover and George W. Bush!

ArtVanDeLay said...

Also in your list of corporations ,you mentioned "U.S Government"

WTF?!What sense does that make?!

ArtVanDeLay, if you click on the link (the blue text - right click on it on choose 'open in new window' to view the entire page) you will see in bold the following sentence: "The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families."

In my comment I did not say "corporations" helped get him elected. I called them "Marxists" in a sarcastic way. LOL!

"In the first quarter of 2011, Exxon-Mobil, the world’s biggest and most profitable corporation, raked in $10.7 billion. That’s a 69 percent increase over the same quarter last year, and the highest quarterly profit since 2008. This is happening during a time when citizens are searching underneath the couch cushions to scrape together enough change in order to fill their gas tanks so they can go file for unemployment benefits.

Exxon also happens to be one of US Uncut’s top targets. The oil giant uses offshore subsidiaries in the Caribbean to avoid paying taxes in the United States. The company paid zero US income tax in 2009, while enjoying billions in taxpayer-funded subsidies and its CEO’s total compensation reached over $29 million.

Now, in addition to raking in record profits by sheltering revenue in foreign tax havens, Exxon and its Fortune 500 comrades, rest on the brink of enjoying more sweeteners in the form of tax breaks."

Iraqi Mojo said...

So who was that US President who allowed all those Fortune 500 companies to rake in record profits during his term? Is he a Marxist? Stop watching FOX News, people. It will make you stupid. At least watch some CNN!

Remember, Art: if you want to read more and understand where the quote came from, click on the BLUE link. LOL

ArtVanDeLay said...

Remember IraqiMojo, it is not the job of the readers to click on the link for more info just because YOU failed to provide the proper context!
Also yes you mentioned "Marxists",not corporations but still U.S government is the odd man in that impressive list of organizations.

Re ExxonMobil-if you want to stop storing their profits offshore-heres a tip-stop penalizing oil companies and the work they do.
Well I suppose if Dear Leader Obama says they are EEEVVILL, it must be so.So much better to have taxpayers invest their money(of course I mean have the government invest it FOR it-those FoxNews viewing Americans are too stupid to be trusted with their own money!) in wholesome, honest and organic companies which deal in solar power like Solyndra...oh wait....

Re:Fox News and CNN ,yes it is so much smarter to watch CNN where "serious journalists" like Wolf Blitzer who fact check Saturday Night Live skits against their beloved Dear Leader.
Lets not forget the Nobel Laureate and Distinguished Professor Joy Behar and all the fine work she does!
Enjoy your CNN and its high culture LOL!

What's wrong with Keith Olbermann? Did he lie? That must really suck for conservative Americans to see young American minds being poisoned by such terrible things as FACTS! Oh the horror!

LAT Aug 26: "The nation's gross domestic product may be growing at just a crawl, but corporations aren't doing so badly in this economy, according to data released from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Corporate profits increased in the second quarter, as did the amount of cash businesses had available for investments, as taxes decreased."

Obama needs to learn what it means to be a Marxist and raise taxes on the rich!

ArtVanDeLay said...

Keith Olbermann is a such a far left clown that he was too much for even MSNBC,going around referring to Republicans as "fascists" is just preaching to his already shrinking and mentally retarded choir. He is a running joke even for liberals.A paranoid fairy who is so UNABLE to withstand criticism that he was reportedly stalking the set of Saturday Night Live when Ben Affleck was parodying him in 2008.He rarely ever a allows a dissenting view on his show, whats the big deal if he states the "FACTS" as you call it.He was even too chickenshit to cover the 2008 Republican convention due to some thoroughly unsubstantiated rumors of death threats. And there was the sad ,pathetic business about parading his Cornell degree on air after a tiff with Ann Coulter.Do you want me to go on?

Re:Obama Marxism and Democrat politics- large corporation nexus , madtom and I have already addressed the issue of limousine liberalism. If you are unable or dont want to understand, thats really not our problem.

People who are far left OR far right make me want to puke. What we have today are politicians sticking to their ideology like it's a religion. What we need are leaders who can fix the damned potholes. Give me a choice, and I'll vote for a pragmatist over a dogmatist every time.

Maury said...

As for Obama, I'm convinced he's a Bush clone. He'll start saying nucular any day now. It can be argued that his domestic agenda is stymied by a Republican Congress, but what about foreign policy? Isn't that constitutionally the purview of the President? Has it changed in the slightest since Obama became President? If so, I missed it.

Iraqi Mojo said...

So Keith Olbermann did not lie? I did not think so.

He doesn't allow dissenting opinions on his show, you say? Too much for MSNBC? So what? He doesn't like Teabaggers coming on his show and telling lies. I cannot blame him.

The claim that he "stalked" Ben Affleck sounds like something that was made up by the National Enquirer and was bubbled up to FOX News.

But I can see him calling some Republicans fascists. Some comments and policies espoused by Republicans do resemble fascism.

Here is an interesting article (click on the blue link to read the entire article): "Let’s examine how Republicans are frighteningly similar to fascists.

Fascism is the ultimate manifestation of social change and moral revolution, and glorifies nationalism. Sound familiar? It should. Republicans are all about culture wars and preach morality and how great America is. Fascists, like Republicans today, reject democracy and liberalism. Many Republicans called for violently overthrowing the government if the 2010 midterm elections didn’t go their way and have viciously attacked liberalism. Fascists also reject internationalism and pacifism and support militarism and war."

However, it's clear that Olbermann does not hate all Republicans. I saw him praising Jon Huntsman a few weeks ago on his show. On "Real Time With Bill Maher" last week he praised the Republican on the panel.

'When President Obama released his plan for “the Buffett rule,” which involves closing tax loopholes and ensuring that millionaires pay their fair share in taxes, he explained that “middle-class families shouldn’t be paying higher taxes than millionaires and billionaires.” “Warren Buffett’s secretary shouldn’t pay a higher tax rate than Warren Buffett,” he said.

Ever since, many Republicans have been attacking Obama for inciting “class warfare.” “It looks like the President wants to move down the class warfare path,” said House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI). “I don’t think I would describe class warfare as leadership,” agreed Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH).
However, if calling for an end to millionaires having lower tax rates than their secretaries is class warfare, Obama is only the latest class warrior to occupy the Oval Office. In a June 6, 1985 speech at Northside High School in Atlanta, Georgia, then President Ronald Reagan explained that tax loopholes allowing a millionaire to pay lower taxes that a bus driver were “crazy,” because they allowed the “truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share”:

"We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy. [...] Do you think the millionaire ought to pay more in taxes than the bus driver or less?" '

I can't listen to him or Rachel Maddow. It's their voices, dripping with sarcasm, that get under my skin. It's worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. So bad, I can't hear a word they're saying. In a word, they're both assholes.

madtom said...

"However, if calling for an end to millionaires having lower tax rates than their secretaries is class warfare"

Of course its a lie and class warfare. They are comparing "earned income" to "capital gains". To have any capital gains you first have to pay the tax on the earned income so you can have money to invest, and then there is a risk factor involved with the investment. It's more like double taxation, you pay when you make some and then you have to pay again when your capital grows.

Interesting definition of fascism.
So anyone who glorifies their nation is a fascist by this utterly idiotic defintion.Anyone who takes pride in their military is a fascist, then I suppose by these standards there are hardly any countries in the world which are not fascist.God what stupidity will you leftists spew next?
Oh and Dear Leader Obama supporters ,his crony capitalism and the media which practically gave Obama a blowjob in the 2008 campaign are no position to accuse others of fascism.Glass houses and all that

It is not conservatives who want to regulate each and every aspect of citizens lives. The only couple issues that liberatarians(ever notice how they are almost never democrats?) differ with conservatives is the abortion issue.

Liberals want to ban recess, salt, sugar, transfat, impose gender and homosexual equity in the military, force affirmative action on colleges, favor one group over another.
Conservatives want the citizen decide what he wants to with his money, food, education and wants the government to stay away except in terms of national security.

How nice of Olbermann to praise the Republican least likely to win the presidency. We conservatives remember how the media loved LOVED John McCain in 2007 until their dear Leader Obama got the nomination.Should I remind you how McCain was treated then?Olbermann and leftist knuckleheads like him love idiot RINOS like McCain and Huntsman since they are most likely to LOSE as they due to their inability to fight the Left has rendered them hollow shells of men unable to take on the Democratic challenger.

Re :Keith Olbermann and SNL-that he is thin skinned and paranoid is acknowledged by even his supporters. You seem to one of the few nutcase loyalists who followed him to current TV, bet all of you could fill a closet LOL!

Iraqi Mojo said...

Fascism is not nationalism. That is not the definition of fascism. Fascism glorifies nationalism. Like Stalin, Hitler, and Saddam did.

Iraqi Mojo said...

Liberals want to ban recess?? OMG!

Iraqi Mojo said...

I like Keith Olbermann because he was the only journalist who covered (almost nightly) the murders committed by private contractors in Iraq. He did this while FOX News folks had their thumbs up their butts. If it wasn't for Keith Olbermann, the rest of the media might have totally ignored the story and the Bush admin probably would not have sent the FBI to investigate.

I respect Keith Olbermann because he is not afraid to tell the truth. He stands for justice. What does FOX News stand for, besides the richest 2%?

Maury said...

"Fascism glorifies nationalism. Like Stalin, Hitler, and Saddam did."

Stalin was a Communist. That's far left, not right. Sadman was a Socialist who emulated Stalin. But hey, one out of three ain't bad. A liberal would pass you anyway, because feelings are more important than whether you win or lose.

ArtVanDeLay said...

"Liberals want to ban recess?? OMG!"

Please note the tactics of liberals like IraqiMojo.First they deny that liberals are like fascists and when you complain about something inncuous they want to ban-they ridicule you.
Yes banning school recess is a big deal ,the public school system is increasingly hostile to boys who are just drugged by Ritalin when they start acting up and then liberals are shocked that children and becoming fat and start regulating food!As if that is not enough, when they grow up colleges and high school are largely "hate free" zones where "hate" is defined as anything as anything vaguely rightwing.
Hitler was more leftwing than rightwing, like leftist politicians he was popular with the "smart set" -professors,journalists, was loathed by the religious authorities ,feared by bourgeois.
Like leftists,he was wild about crony capitalism and nationalizing industries left and right.
BTW your beloved Palestinians were buddy buddy with him in case you didnt know.Im glad that an Arab thinks Hitler was a bad guy.I dont know if you aware-Bill Maher put it best "the level of debate in the Arab world is the Holocaust didnt happen or it was good thing"

There is a definition between nationalism and patriotism.
I would say on average conservatives are patriotic because they are suspicious of government and it motives and its liberals who are nationalistic as they are wild about large government and its overreaching powers.

Last time I checked liberals are hardly impervious to nationalism when it comes to their precious nation building projects and wrecking other countries such as Bosnia,Albania,Libya or Vietnam where there hardly any American interests at stake!
BTW Bush himself was a quasi socialist and many conservatives were starting to have buyers remorse early in his second term.

If you think Saddam and Republicans have anything in common, you are a bigger idiot than I thought.

ArtVanDeLay said...

oops I meant there is a distinction between nationalism and patriotism

Iraqi Mojo said...

Saddam and Stalin were not fascists? I had no idea!

Iraqi Mojo said...

No I agree, Art, recess was the best part of school:) I wouldn't ridicule you, ArtVanDeLay!

Iraqi Mojo said...

The Republicans of the 80s used to shake hands with Saddam. But the reason Reagan's admin liked Saddam was not because he was a fascist, or murderous dictator. They considered Saddam to be an ally because he was fighting Khomeini.

Maury said...

The best way to explain politics is with a wheel illustration Mojo.

Imagine top dead center of the wheel is middle of the road moderates. Halfway down the left side are liberals. Halfway down the right side are conservatives.

At the very bottom lie communists and fascists. That's why I say those who are too far left OR right make me want to puke. They're made from the same cloth. Each will take away your rights in the name of their cause.

Maury said...

As for my own politics, I'm willing to consider anyone who lies on the top half of the wheel. An example of those who fall on the bottom half, liberal AND conservative, would be those crying foul at Obama ordering the killing of Al-Awlaki. Imagine that Union soldiers weren't allowed to kill Confederate soldiers.....because they were American citizens. Friggin' morons like Ron Paul and his uber-liberal sidekicks are a lot closer to the bottom of the wheel than the top.

Iraqi Mojo said...

I'm not sure what to call myself, Maury. In college I considered myself to be a liberal, but I got along with students who called themselves Republicans and I always understood the importance of fiscal responsibility. I always believed in helping the poor, but I wanted to be rich! When I saw "Wall Street" I wanted to be the guy played by Michael Douglas. I didn't see a problem in buying a company, breaking it up and selling off the parts to make a huge profit. I do see a problem with it now. I have changed.

But I still believe in responsible, regulated capitalism. And I still hate dictators. But I also hate religious fundamentalists. I'm a liberal who was happy to see the end of Saddam, Usama bin Ladin, and the internet jihadist Al Awlaki.

Interesting, Maury. I've heard of "centrists" but I've never heard of "centrism" or "Third Way". I think many Republicans (like ArtVanDeLay) would not consider Bill Clinton or myself to be a centrist.

Sure Republicans and Saddam had a common enemy at one point. That much is obvious, but my point was about ideology.

Interestingly, Israel was kind of sort of on Iran's side as Syria!

The Middle East and its ever shifting loyalties and enemities!

When Henry Kissinger said U.S has no permanent friends but permanent interests, I wouldnt be surprised if he picked that phrase from Arabs.

My favorite Arab phrase: Me against my brother,me and brother against my cousin,me and cousin against clan,me and my clan against the world.

Surely there are many versions of this,IraqiMojo would know better than me.Explains the Arabs take no shit attitude but also their lack of national cohesivness and other societal dysfunctions.

Yes it does, regardless of whether conservatives or liberals support it(admittedly conservatives are more likely due to their myopic view on drugs)
Obviously if it harms no one and gives comfort to those in need,it is petty and cruel to ban something as innocuous as marijuana!

ArtVanDeLay said...

Interesting, Maury. I've heard of "centrists" but I've never heard of "centrism" or "Third Way". I think many Republicans (like ArtVanDeLay) would not consider Bill Clinton or myself to be a centrist.

Actually Bill Clinton was more a rogue than ideologue ,he would be anything as long as it got elected.eg after the mid term beating he took in 1994,he shifted into right gear and coopted Newt Gingrich welfare reform and economic recovery plan and won the general election in 1996.

Hilary and Obama are hardcore ideologue when it comes to domestic policy but on national security they HAVE to be Bush clones not because they want to but because they have no choice.Say what you want about Bush, the system that he helped set up -renditions,Guantanamo,drones etc is near impossible to repeal. Its almost on autopilot.

Since you were wondering Mojo,I think you are a centrist on economic and foreign policy issues and leftist on pretty much all other domestic issues-schools,distrust of the "Christian right" ,loathing of the Tea Party,Fox News, race relations etc.
But you are immigrant(or anyway consider yourself one despite living in u.s long enough) ,immigrants can have often the wrong(i.e leftist haha) idea about the U.S but they are usually more coherent and less shrill than white liberals in my experience!
I dont think everyon voting for /supporting Obama makes them neccesarily leftist. It was the independents/centrists who were the decisive factor in electing him.
However those who stick by him despite his failed policies are more likely to be leftists.
