40 killed in bombings targeting Baghdadi Shia

LAT: At least 40 Iraqis killed in blasts in Baghdad

"Bombs target two Shiite neighborhoods of the Iraqi capital, with three explosions at an outdoor market, near a Shiite mosque, and a car bombing at another market."

Also: "Stephen Everhart was brought to Iraq by the U.S. Agency for International Development to assist the University of Baghdad's business college in qualifying for international accreditation.

He was killed Thursday outside the gates of the university when a powerful bomb commonly used by Shiite Muslim militias detonated."

I find it strange and sad that while Sunni militant extremists target Shia civilians, Shia militant extremists target Americans who want to help Iraqis prosper.

Hey "fake" Mojo, you think this resent flare up of violence is internal, or external?

Thanks Wayne, good to know at least one person finds my blog useful.

madtom, I think this violence is practiced mostly by Iraqis, but I would not be surprised to learn that a few Saudis and other Salafi 3arab jarab are involved.

Sandybelle,

I am disappointed in your comments this time. I believe it is the first time I have read a comment like this from you. I think you need to look at what is really being done.

Sandy,

The Wahhabi mass murderers who detonated these bombs would be murdering these innocent Shia with or without America in the picture. They have done this long before the US came to be and will continue to do it should the US disappear into the history pages.

Given the attitude and morale of most Americans these days, this could very well happen.

"Americans have started bombing again after a period of embarrasing silence!"

I'm not sure what this means but you are greatly mistaken if you believe Americans have in any way benefitted from terrorist attacks inside of Iraq.

Few events in history have fractured the United States and turned its people against each other as the mujahideen's attempt to burn Iraq to the ground.

Sandybelle,

In 2002 and 2003, the vast majority of Americans wanted to go to Iraq, remove Saddam and withdraw almost immediately.

A small number of Americans wanted to move the Saudi base to Iraq. In other words, have a long term base with 5 thousand troops in Iraq. I don't know any serious person who wanted more than that.

America didn't want to be involved in nation building Iraq, governing Iraq, training the Iraqi Army or any of that. This is why Iraq was so chaotic in 2003. America didn't want to occupy Iraq.

The initial order to withdraw to 30 thousand troops by August and 20 thousand troops by September came in early April, 2003.

The problem is that Takfiri and Baa3thist scum tried to organize a genocide against the Iraqi people and Bush didn't want to leave Iraq while hundreds of thousands or millions of Iraqis were murdered. So there were many unplanned chaotic delays of the US withdrawal to allow Iraqis a chance to stop the killers trying to murder them.

Rumsfeld opposed training the Iraqi Security Forces and building Iraqi civilian governance because he thought Iraq was "sovereign" and responsible for its own security and development.

This led to the deaths of tens of thousands of Iraqis [including many of the 18 K ISF who died] because the Takfiri and Baaa3thists thought America wasn't interested in supporting the Iraqi Government, ISF and Iraqi people.

It is only when Maliki came to power in Iraq in mid 2006 that Bush decided to substantially train, equip, advise and fund the ISF. This quickly lead to an Iraqi victory against the Takfiri and Baa3thists and a 95% reduction in violence.

Now that the ISF are capable the US wants to draw down to only 10 thousand trainers and combat enablers, in large part focused on building the Iraqi Air Force.

But Iraq doesn't seem to want American help for the Iraqi Air Force. So it looks like America is leaving completely.

What "bombing" are you referring to Sandybelle? Sayyed Muqtada and Sayyed Nasrallah and Khamenei say that America backs Al Qaeda and the Takfiri. Many Iraqis believe this. Is this your belief to?

That is the only way I can interpret your comments.

If this is your opinion, respectfully I disagree. The Takfiri and Al Qaeda are also America's enemies. They killed three thousand American civilians on 9/11 and they continue to try to mass murder Americans. Most Americans [aside from the occasional American academic leftist who truly is Iraq's enemy] are rooting for Iraq to defeat Iraq's enemies because Iraq's enemies are American enemies. Admittedly some Americans want to free ride on Iraq blood and treasure and let Iraqis fight America's enemies without giving Iraq money and help.

You should also remember that American taxpayers have spent a trillion of their hard earned dollars and 4 and a half thousand precious American lives fighting shoulder to shoulder with your government and your Iraqi Security Forces against the enemies of Iraq. America directly gave Iraq 60 billion dollars. America got nothing from Iraq in return other than Iraq defeating Takfiri, and America should ask for nothing.

BTW, Dolly, what do you think about the Qarmatians ? Those people really strike.

And never forget بس عـُربي ميت عربي طيب

Greetings everyone,

First of all, let me clarify something, when I said "Americans" i meant the American politicians, and i mean it, never meant the American people in total, I have many many friends amongst the Americans and I am proud of them, and love them, and they love me too..

Wayne,

When I speak about something, i first of all,do my best to make sure to be careful in everything, and after a very long pause, many points of view from Iraqis ( live in different cities in iraq, from north to south, east to west, and they, fortunately, belong to different sects, religions) have together from a final image, about the things going on in Iraq, and the middle east.
I and I do, my best not to be a parrot that repeats whatever she hears in media, or from other people..
I appreciate, how great you are in being very touched by the events in Iraq, and "what is being done"..

Corey,
my friends, how are you? ;)
look, my eyes, the name "wahhabis" belong to a group of who call themselves Muslims, and , first of all, I had thought they were Sunnis, but, after checking and reading, I came with a result, that they are REALLY NOT, and they reject all the ideas except theirs, they keep insulting Shia, Sunnis, , Suffis, and all the others of Muslims and non Muslims..
Those people, depend in their writings and beliefs on a person was called " Ka'b Al-Ahbar" and he was really not Muslim in origin, he was well known for his betrayal and lies. and even, the caliph, Omar bin al-Khattab, has threatened him once for his nonesense.
This man has inspired, Ibn Taymyya, the the godfather for wahhabis, these wahhabis, were, and are, pretending to be Muslims, while inside, they are atheists in real, they have hurt the prophet Muhammad ,his real followers and grandchildren. Ibn Taymyya, in his time has an idea about the presence of God, and the theory of divine of anthropomorphism, which is really against the truth, and it was rejected by all of the other Muslim scholars..
Ages later, A man called, Muhammad Adul Wahhab, ( to whom the wahhabis belong, and who was a creature of the British occupation) has revived Ibn Taymyya's thoughts, and so, has created a great gab in Islam..
Ka'b Al- Ahbar, was really Jewish, and many of the Jews in the Arab peninsula have lost their roles in the field of rule after Islam appeared, and more of losses, after battle of khayber , led by Ali- bin Abi Talib, and so, they started to hate Imam Ali, and his children and grandchildren.
Ka'b's followers, the wahhabis, themselves hate the Shia, who are in turn , Ali's followers..
And the war, is still on till this time, and by name of wahhabis, Americans still kill more of Shia, I don’t mean that the Americans are all the reason, no, there are "Muslims" who keep helping them, in killing Iraqis.. being their tools..
Americans, have come to Iraq, not for our eyes, it is for treasures, the minor reason, and for ensuring a big safe home for Israel,
Big home that was so long ago, really for them, Al-Quds, Jerusalem, It's something belong to religion, mixed with history full of mistakes, fatal mistakes made by Muslims themselves, issue of revenge, Jerusalem, was for Jews, and it has the sacredness in Islam, the place from which the prophet Muhammad travelled up to the sky..
who will win that zone???

and Americans have never leave Iraq, and i don't think they'll leave, they'll be stuck here forever. how should they leave while they have already thought to establish everything over here?!

The Americans, by way or another, have hurt the Iraqis, they from the beginning helped Saddam, to reach the rule, against al-khumaynee who appeared in Iran, America was very sad to lose Al-Shah, later on, after years, Saddam's role has become over, and he had to leave. and they made him leave..
Now, by means of stupid Iraqi politicians (again, not the all), events happening. with nothing forward, we are still living hopelessly, with everlasting diseases, no care, always in worries..

The connection of the events, is that Saddam, destroyed the Shia, because he was afraid they might make a strength with Iran, and then, Americans came, who also hate Iran, and they had to kill more Shia, for the same reason, using wahhabis.
Since after all, the biggest power working against Israel, is Iran, with help of Syria, and Hezbullah,
(all the events occurred, were heading against Syria, the main target in Arab land, after Iraq is in hands..
America Ignored Bahrain, thinking, they belong to Iran. the same sect, don't forget.. although, many others, of Sunnis were demonstrating with true requests.)
the matter is complicated, and it needs a face to face conversation ;)this has been a long explanation, hope you are not feeling bored ;)

CMAR II
thank you :)
we are still more concious..however, you have a right point, and I added the details above, another point, related to history, politics and religion..

Anand,
Dada, you are wonderful, how are you there? Miss you so much my big friend :)

Its another point of complication :D " doesn’t invalidate the friendliness in the case" :) , as we say in Arabic language.. is it the same in English ? !

Thanks every one, I bow

Sandybelle,

It is very sad to see that you would repeat such conspiracy theories that regularly come up in Iranian government-controlled media.

"Americans, have come to Iraq, not for our eyes, it is for treasures, the minor reason, and for ensuring a big safe home for Israel"

This is not true, if nothing else because the Israelis opposed the Iraq War and criticized the Bush Administration for being too soft on Iran. No one in Israel was afraid of Saddam Hussein. Just look at the statements by some of the politicians there. Also, during 2006-2007 the Wahhabis were killing 100 American soldiers a month...many of them died guarding checkpoints outside markets and Shia mosques to prevent the Iraqi people from being mass murdered.

"all the events occurred, were heading against Syria, the main target in Arab land, after Iraq is in hands..
America Ignored Bahrain, thinking, they belong to Iran. the same sect, don't forget.."

The only thing working against Syria, Sandy, is Bashar al-Assad, a murderous human being who has cut down 1,400 of his own people for protesting against his rule. America has been silent on this...in fact, a US congressmen just got back from Syria the other day, where he praised Assad and claimed his people love him! I agree that America's actions on Syria are shameful, but because they are saying NOTHING not because they are interfering.

Ali Khamenei and Hassan Nasrallah like to say America is involved in Syria because they are horrified of two things: first, losing their biggest ally, and second, that the toppling of Bashar the Butcher will inspire the people of Iran to rise up and break away from the bloody theocracy that has ruled them for three decades. If an ironclad dictator as dangerous as Assad can fall, Khamenei and his puppet, Ahmadinejad, can fall too...

Perhaps in 6-12 months we can hear the Iranian people chant "Khodahafez, Bashar Assad, not its time for Ahmadinejad!" :D

C.H. said...

Another thing I would like to address, Sandy...

You said that America "ignored Bahrain", but what about Iran? The US government ignored the Iranian people and their cries for freedom back in 2009 just the same. We have even given a visa to Ahmadinejad THREE times since his government unleashed the Basiji on the Iranian people...and we allowed him to go up to the UN and spout off his nonsense.

The other day I was reading the Tehran Times (Iranian newspaper website) and I was laughing because they had an article about "US hypocrisy on Bahrain". They say this even though they themselves have COMPLETELY ignored the mass protests in Syria.

What? They are not "using wahhabiez."
The math is as follows, pay attention:

Point number 1. Americans and Iraqi Shia are friends
See photo: http://media.defenseindustrydaily.com/images/MIL_US_and_Iraqi_Soldier_Planning_lg.jpg)

2. The freedom-fighters therefore should target either, or both
of the aforementioned groups of evildoers (Americans, Shia).

Sandybelle, are you saying the US kills Shia via Wahhabis because the US is allied with Saudia? Why would the US want Wahhabis to mass murder Shia? It is not in America's interest to see Wahhabis kill Shia, despite the US alliance with Riyadh.
