Democrats know how to create jobs

Poverty, discrimination and ignorance restrict growth, Bill Clinton said in a great speech at the Democratic National Convention. HP: 'It turns out that advancing equal opportunity and economic empowerment is both morally right and good economics," Clinton said. "Why? Because poverty, discrimination and ignorance restrict growth. When you stifle human potential, when you don’t invest in new ideas, it doesn't just cut off the people who are affected; it hurts us all.'

Lack of skills, lack of capital, lack of demand and higher costs per worker in the form of higher taxes restrict growth.

I know business owners who are terrified and are holding back on expenditures for fear of losing it all. They see a European style economy where it is too expensive to hire anyone who is not a proven performer and in good health. This is why the youth unemployment in BOTH Europe and the USA is near 50%

When government stops threatening small business with higher taxes and regulations, then the long contraction finally ends. Banks are free to lend capital to small businesses again to address their pent up demand.

Both Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan followed this formula. Both worked with the opposition. Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama did not.

The Democrats don't make jobs, leaders do.
