Corruption in America not as visible, but is disgusting

"The U.S. was one of 29 countries out of a 31-nation sample to score below 60 on a 100-point scale on questions regarding the enforcement of political finance laws, regardless of how strong or weak the country’s regulations were, according to the new report."

We're tied with Tajikistan! And then there's this:

If you hate America so much why dont you leave and go back to your harems and camels?

Mojo,

You live in an information ghetto. Everyone on the outside must look like cartoons to you. Please try visiting other neighborhoods on the internet.

I mean how do you miss this?

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/jurisprudence/2011/12/obamacare_and_the_supreme_court_should_elena_kagan_recuse_herself_.html

You had no idea? Really?

"If you hate America so much why dont you leave and go back to your harems and camels?"

Oh shit. We have an anonymous teabagger in the perimeter.

Iraqi Mojo said...

I don't hate America, anonymous. I love America and don't want to see America pulled down by corporate sluts like Clarence Thomas and his wife.

Iraqi Mojo said...

"The Supreme Court is increasingly seen as a partisan political institution making political decisions instead of a true court deciding cases under the law."

It is sad.

Iraqi Mojo said...

"Nothing less than the integrity of the Supreme Court is at stake.

Now, as to Justice Thomas …"

Clarence Thomas is an embarrassment to America.

Iraqi Mojo said...

"Justice Thomas has committed perjury for 13 years of sworn financial disclosure forms claiming that his wife, Mrs. Thomas earned no income, when in fact she was earning a hefty income--directly related to cases before him. Justice Thomas has made a mockery of the United States Supreme Court and must be impeached effectively, immediately."

And now we know what happens when Mojo is embarrassed; he freaks out.

I am Anonymous number 2. I'm not the first Anonymous who suggested you hated America (check our IPs). I am the second and third Anonymous who made fun of your gross ignorance.

Regardless, please remain calm. You've only made yourself look more foolish. But really, what the heyhey was with the last 5 posts? Was that you having a melt down? Are you OK?

And what's with the foaming at the mouth about teabaggers? Who said anything about the Tea Party? You sound unhinged.

Damn dude don't sweat it; there really is hope: ignorance is curable, but stupid is not. I'm pretty sure you're just ignorant. You're gonna be fine little buddy.

Just relax.

Iraqi Mojo said...

Are you the butt hurt conservative from Michigan? Have you posted comments here before? Please remind me of which anonymous schmuck you are.

LOL

"But really, what the heyhey was with the last 5 posts? Was that you having a melt down? Are you OK?"

Yes I'm fine. I quoted a few articles about Clarence Thomas, the Supreme Court judge who should be impeached by now. Here is another one from a year old article:

'He certainly never even approached being "the most qualified" person in the land to sit on the Supreme Court, as President George H.W. Bush, who nominated him to the High Court, said after offering his name.

I'm quite sure that Bush didn't even believe that himself, unless he was limiting the field of competition to Thomas, then-vice president Dan Quayle, and his namesake offspring. But if he was clearly unworthy then--and he was--he is now about as appropriate a judge as Newt Gingrich is a marriage counselor.'

Iraqi Mojo said...

'First, there was the fact that Thomas, whose wife has earned almost $700,000 for--as far as I can tell--being his wife, finds government disclosure forms so difficult to fill out that he accidentally put $0 where $700,000 was supposed to be under "spousal income."

That's right, for a guy who is supposed to decide how to interpret our Constitution, apparently reporting the bounty his wife pulled in through the right-wing welfare system of think tank stipends and Tea Party activism is somewhat more difficult than making jokes about body hair and coca cola to co-workers of a female persuasion. As this is a family news outlet, you're just going to have to go look up the rest yourself.'

Mojo hates freedom, go back to saudi arabia

Iraqi Mojo said...

'But wait, there's more! As reported over the past week, the good-government group Common Cause has caught ole Clarence in what those in the legal profession might call a "lie."

Thomas attended a meeting of wealthy corporate barons on the West Coast, not long before joining his fellow deluded, activist conservative judges in overturning roughly 100 years of settled law to claim that corporations should be able to buy and sell democracy on the free market, like equities or an Emmy.

And as such, these corporate "people" can spend pretty much whatever they want on electioneering, a wonderful little valentine to a republic that is supposed to be defined by "one person, one vote".

The problem, of course, is those wealthy conservatives with whom Thomas ate pigs-in-a-blanket and likely fantasized about replacing the social safety net with breakaway glass stood to directly benefit from these changes to our law, contained in the infamous Citizens United case.

So Thomas went ahead and lied about how much time he spent at that retreat held by the infamous Koch Brothers, the sugar daddies of the supposedly power-to-the-people Tea Party movement. While according the The New York Times, "a court spokeswoman said Justice Thomas had made a 'brief drop-by' at the event in Palm Springs, California, in January 2008 and had given a talk," in that darn financial disclosure report that keeps getting him in trouble, Thomas reported that he was reimbursed by the right-wing Federalist Society for having spent "four days" at this very same event.

Four days, or a few hours? You say tomato. I say tomahto.'

When confronted with facts, anonymous conservatives respond with "stop freaking out!"

LOL

Iraqi Mojo said...

"Mojo hates freedom,"

I am not in favor of corporations having the freedom to spend millions of dollars to influence elections. Is that the kind of freedom you are referring to?

"go back to saudi arabia"

You mean EYE RACK.

Mojo is spitting out posts faster than you can say "furious."

Iraqi Mojo said...

"To him, everyone is the enemy now."

Not everyone is a right wing schlemiel.

Anonymous said...

"Not everyone is a right wing schlemiel."

If it weren't for right wing schlemiels, who on this planet would read your blog? You haven't exactly set the world on fire with the Huff Post crowd. You might consider being nicer to your readers.

And having integrity on matters of corruption also helps.

Iraqi Mojo said...

My blog does attract many right wing schlemiels, it is true! LOL

I think it's because they found in my blog justification for Bush's decision to overthrow Saddam the mass murderer of Iraqis. Now you can go tell your fellow conservatives that you found a liberal Obama supporter who was happy to see the end of Saddam's regime!

Iraqi Mojo said...

So am I supposed to be nice to an anonymous schmuck who says I hate freedom and tells me to go back to Saudi Arabia?

Anonymous said...

Your speaking to Anonymous Schmuck 2. I know you love the US. Stop painting everyone in big broad strokes. The bigot in you is peaking out.

For the record, the Mojo is a patriotic nonsectarian American. He is smart, level headed, knowledgeable and sophisticated.

Mojo, just because someone likes Thomas doesn't mean they are a tea bagger or right wing. Personally I have little to no idea about Clarence Thomas' judicial record and history. The same is probably true about the vast majority of Americans, and even many Clarence Thomas supporters.
++++++++++++++
Many tea baggers are normal people that you would probably personally like and mostly agree with. Ditto with many people who participate in the "occupy" movement.

Granted we all have different live experiences. The worst racists I have encountered come from the far left. Although many come from the far right too.

Iraqi Mojo said...

Thanks anan for the kind words. I too have met some very nice conservatives.

Anonymous said...

Mojo keeps thinking someone here is defending Clarence Thomas. There is not a single defender of Clarence Thomas here. That's not why people commented; we posted because of your hypocracy.

Mojo, when you care about corruption in government, it doesn't matter what party the person is from.

If you can't condemn Thomas and Kagan with at least some balance, then you have nothing much to say on matters of corruption.

Anonymous2

Iraqi Mojo said...

Did the liberal justice's spouse take millions of dollars from Obamacare supporters and fail to report it as income to the IRS? What hypocrisy are you referring to, Anonymous2?

Iraqi Mojo said...

I just googled "supreme court kagan obama", expecting to find something bad about Kagan. I found an article written by right-wing schlemiel on the World Net Daily, a bat-shit crazy group that likes to think it's a news outlet.

There is simply no comparison between Clarence Thomas and Elena Kagan. Your insistence that I condemn both Thomas and Kagan with some "balance" is typical of right wing desperation these days.

Mojo makes baby Jesus cry. Very sad.

Baby Jesus grew up to become quite the liberal.

Just pay for it with added debt. There is nothing like spending other peoples money!

Then you can share your false and unearned sense compassion with the world in the form of political propaganda and snarky remarks!
