1,000 years of foreign rule, monarchy, and dictatorship
is ending, I hope. Fareed also talks about America's redefined role in the Middle East. Fareed says "buckle your seat belts" at the end, talking about the future, the outcomes of these revolutions. He's right, of course.
Protesters have been doing their thing in neighboring Oman for the last few days. They aren't exactly calling for freedom. It's more of an Iraqi-style loot and burn while the getting is good kind of thing. Still, that's three neighboring Gulf countries with unrest. The other two are Bahrain and Yemen.
